TAP Information 2013: Total number of scheduled conferences - 580; Students that attended a conference with a parent - 434; Students that attended a conference without a parent - 120; Students that did not attend a conference - 26

S9 serves about 2500 lunches each week

Since school started in August, 3040 books have been checked out from the Media Center

S9 has a total of 4 Pre-AP courses; 4 Pre-AP Algebra 1, 4 Pre-AP Geometry, 9 Pre-AP Biology, 9 Pre-AP English, 8 Pre-AP World History

Nurse Olson provided 469 medical services to the S9 students during the month of March

Our teachers educate approximately 694 students each and every school day

Our bus drivers safely transport almost 350 students to and from school each day

Our car line dismisses almost 325 students each afternoon

Our custodians and plant manager earned a 94% rating during our quarterly inspection

 New School Start Times 2014-2015

High schools and the large middle schools (Buckhorn High, Hazel Green High, Madison County High, New Hope High, Sparkman 9, Sparkman High, Buckhorn Middle, Meridianville Middle, Monrovia Middle and Sparkman Middle) will begin school at 8:30 and end at 3:30 each day.  All elementary schools (to include all K-3, K-5, K-6, K-8, and 4-6 school configurations) will begin at 7:45 and end at 2:30 each day.  Parents will be allowed to drop students off thirty (30) minutes prior to the beginning of school.  More information about the bus routes, available childcare, etc. will be forwarded to you later.

 Free Tutoring

Wall Highway Baptist Church is offering free tutoring for area students. It is held on Tuesday afternoons from 4:30-6:00 at Wall Highway Baptist Church, 6597 Wall Triana Highway, in the basement area. Tutors work with students from 6th-12th grade with math, science, foreign language (by request), and English. The tutors are well versed and experienced in their fields. Students are asked to bring in their school books and homework. This is a walk-in service, no signups necessary. For more information you can contact Terry Brooks at
