Mrs. Reid’s Class

 Classroom Rules:

  1. Follow directions the FIRST time they are given.
  2. Come to class prepared.
  3. Observe school rules- Respect Yourself, Respect Others, Respect the Environment!
  4. Do not disturb others who are working.

If You Choose to Break a Rule:

Tally Mark for each rule broken:  one minute from recess for each tally mark

Five tally marks:  loss of five minutes of recess/privileges (color calendar day yellow)

Ten tally marks:  Loss of recess/ privileges (color calendar day red)

Over ten tally marks:  office referral written (phone call to parents/conference)

Students will write in their own words what they did to remove a stick on their behavior calendar and color it the appropriate color.  Parents need to sign on that date, if the date is blank it means they were on green that day.  Our time is so limited that they may not always have time to color it in.

*Severe disruptions: Student sent immediately to office.

If unacceptable behavior problems develop, students will not be allowed to participate in special days such as field trips, class parties, etc.

Rewards for Positive Behavior:

Verbal Praise, Recess, and FUN FRIDAY TIME!!!!!  Classroom reward for 20 class stickers; popcorn and a movie.

*Students will begin each morning with a clean behavior pocket.   If he or she does NOT get the behavior calendar signed, it results in loss of five minutes of recess time the following day.  I have implemented this policy to instill a sense of self-discipline and responsibility in the students.  Please feel free to contact me at school concerning any behavioral issues @ 852-7187or e-mail me at preid@madison.k12.al.us . Thank you in advance for respecting my family time and only contacting me during school hours.
