Materials and Equipment:

 

Computers with keyboard, mouse, index cards with computer parts on them,  and index cards with the computer parts written on them (1 set for each student in your class) Computer Parts ppt

Technology Resources Needed:

 

Computers with keyboard, mouse, and Internet access

Background/Preparation:

 

Students need to have a basic understanding of the computer parts.

Procedures/Activities:

Lesson 1: 

1)        The teacher will discuss and demonstrate for the students the computer parts using the computer parts power point. (monitor, keyboard, mouse, and CPU) Computer Parts.ppt

2)       The teacher will add the index cards with the computer parts to the computer word wall.

3)       The teacher will orally review the computer parts.

4)       The teacher will give students the index cards with the computer parts on them.  The students will them label their computer parts with the index cards.

Assessment Strategies:

The teacher will do an oral review on the computer parts learned.  The teacher will observe the students as they label their computer with the index cards.
