Objective:
pre-reading activity that develops predicting skills.
Procedures:
1. This
is done before the book is ever opened.
2. Using
large sheets of paper, write the title of the paragraph or section of the text
being studied or chapter titles.
3. Brainstorm:
each group will go the to assigned poster and write what they know about that
topic.
4. Give
each group 3 minutes. When the bell rings, students move to next topic, writing
what they know. Continue until all written.
5.
Discuss posters by letting the kids share.
