Library Media Center
Policies and Procedures

Students can:
· Check out up to three (3) books at a time.  Only two may be AR books.
· Use the library computers to take AR tests.
· Use the Internet in the library if an Internet permission form has been agreed to, filled out and is on file in the computer lab.  The student must sign in and sign out on the Internet Usage log sheet.
· Read, Read, Read all they want to in the library as long as they have permission from their teacher.
· Use periodicals and reference materials in the library.

Students cannot:
· Check out periodicals or reference materials.
· Eat, drink, or chew gum in the library media center.
· Check out a book if he/she has one or more books overdue.  The student must first bring the book in to return it or renew it before he/she can check out another book.

Students Must:
· Pay for any lost or stolen book.  The price is based on the replacement cost of ordering another book.  Books range in price from $10.00 - $68.00.
· Return books in a good condition.  If books are damaged, students will be required to pay to have the book replaced.
·  Behave in a respectful manner and follow ALL school rules while in the library media center.  Any student who is misbehaving will be sent out of the library for that class period and not allowed to finish his/her work.
