Q: What happens the first day of school?
A: You report to your homeroom teacher. We will have hall monitors to guide you
to your class. Report to the gym. At the 7:45am. bell your go to your Homeroom.
Q: What grades does MMS have?
A: 6th through the 8th grade
Q: How are students scheduled for instruction?
A: MMS is scheduled so students have a different teacher for each subject
(7-period day) Students randomly schedule except in those classes that have
special requirements.
Q: What subjects are offered?
A: Literature, Advanced Literature, English, Advanced English, Math, Advanced
Math, Social Studies, Science, PE, Advanced Science (7/8) are offered.
Q: What sports are offered?
A: Football, Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Soccer, Volleyball, golf and
track.
Q: What Enrichment Classes does MMS have?
A: Band 6-8th,Visual Arts 7th , Performing Arts 8th, Career Technology 8th,
Computer Technology 6/7th, Middle School Essentials 6th and Office Aide 6-8th.
Q: Does MMS have field trips?
A: Yes. We also sometimes have guest speakers.
Q: How are parents informed of students' progress?
A: 3 weeks and 6 weeks into the 9 weeks session a progress report will be
issued on grades. Also, report cards go out at the end of each 9 weeks.
Q: What are the school Hours?
A: School starts at 7:55 A.M. and ends at 3:00 P.M. Doors open 7:20a.m.
Q: What route will the buses go?
A: They will run the same routes as last year at beginning of this year. Look
for buses that have Meridianville
Middle School posted on
them.
Q: Where can I view the MMS student handbook?
A: On the main web page and will be sent home on the first day of school. Link to
